Events and Activities 2025

In addition to holding our Annual Lunch in 2025, it is hoped to build upon the success of the visit to Shoeburyness held jointly with the Shoebury Coastal CIO on 9th October 2024.

The aims of our events and activities are to:

  • Actively support the Reserve Regiments of the Royal Artillery in accordance with the current aims and roles of the NAA; and
  • Enhance understanding of the crucial (and voluntary and self-funded) role undertaken by the  NAA over its 160 year history in supporting the gunnery skills development of the Artillery Volunteers, Territorials and Reservists

2025 Future Events and Activities

Thursday 23rd January 2025 – NAA AGM

This will be held at 1800hrs online.

All Members and Representatives from Reserve Regiments are invited to attend.

An initial warning order will be sent out by 15th November 2024 to all Members and Reserve Regiments.

Thursday 13th February 2025 – Artillery Gold Cup – Sandown

As those of you who may have attended the 2024 event will know, the serving Regiment has invested considerable effort in making the event a regimental reunion that is now very well attended by both serving and retired members of the Regiment.

Some details of this Royal Artillery Regimental Event are:

Basic entry booked in advance will again be £14, if the UBIQUE25 code is used on the Sandown website.

The Royal Artillery Package, which includes admission and a wristband giving a discount on a range of food and drinks, can be obtained in advance at the costs of £22, using the RAPACK25 code on the Sandown Park website https://www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/sandown/events-tickets/royal-artillery-gold-cup-day

In addition to the above, and building on the success of the last two years, there will be a two-course buffet lunch option for those who wish to enjoy a sit-down meal in slightly more formal surroundings. This is likely to again be in The Gallery (unless demand is so high that we need a larger area), which is on the first floor of the grandstand and will be ‘hosted’ by one of our Colonels Commandant. The Gallery overlooks the racecourse and has its own bar. Meals must be booked in advance and entry to the restaurant during lunch will be by issued badge only. The cost of this option is £52, which includes the entry to the racecourse; enclosure pass; carparking and race card. The UBIQUE25 code should be used when booking his venue puts the Regiment very much at the centre of the day and provides good views over and access to the parade.

The NAA will not have a centrally designated meeting place at Sandown but the day will still be an ideal occasion to meet up.  If you intend to attend the day, please do circulate your details by using the Contact Us button at the bottom of this page in ‘About Us’ and we will collate those details and circulate them before the day.
